Overview:
The Mosul-Fatha Road is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing transportation in northern Iraq. The 49-km road features two sides, each 11 meters wide. The central 7 meters of each side are paved with asphalt, while the 2-meter shoulders on both edges provide additional safety and functionality.
Challenges:
Construction of the road began in 2015 but was interrupted due to the occupation of Mosul by ISIS, which halted progress and delayed completion. After the liberation of Mosul, the project resumed and was successfully completed in 2021, marking a significant step in rebuilding infrastructure in the region.
